Will the three alagna colts tagteam takers tds. Nancy's horse has been hard used and has a lot of heart but might be getting tired.

I like Capt midnight but wouldn't be surprised if lucparks pik of tattoo artist wins either. Those two and Capt Kirk on my late p4.

I think Hey Livy will run big in the ambro flight. Not in against slouches though and price would have to be better than ml of 5-2 to be worth a play. ngc3

I'd like to see tattoo artist win it. Hes gutsy (but so are several others) and i like a driver who keeps his word that he will stick with a horse. Some don't

This gotta be least desirable looking bunch in a couple decades, couple grass roots types in here
Title: Re: North American Cup
Post by: Brown jug on August 29, 2020, 07:47:35 AM
whip
please clarify which ones you feel are grass roots quality
in my opinion mayhem and denali are the two that look outclassed
but the other 8 are rock solid and the 3,4,5 are very high quality
last night a horse that did not qualify for the finals steamrolled in 149

12.03  A horse that does not show a charted line at the chosen gait within its last six starts, or does not show a charted line within the previous 45 clear days, must perform in a qualifying race.

Whomever will trip out will win NA cup. TDS is no guarantee He would have to be 3-2 for me to wager on him. 1-2-6 are throwouts but other 7 any could win. CAPTAIN KIRK my pick 53.1 last 1/2 first over was huge with 25.4 last 1/4

Longshot of day LAURAS LOVE in Fan Hanover.

Good luck everyone

I'm shocked the Rev isn't appearing in the mandatory payout pent 13th. My play is:

Reverse 5 with 710 in first two slots. And then below in slots 345 I'm using:
17910
12367910
12367910

Total cost for two bits $24 + $24 or $48.

The #1-#6 are grass roots colts.... #2 is a tier behind these as well.... however, it is hits racing, anything can happen.

Mandatory high 5 is tough tonight with the rabbit Idea Jet in there, suicide fractions coming for sure.

ok whip
so we agree, that is 2 possibly 3 in the field that dont belong
look at the breeding and the yearling prices on #3,4,5 and you get a sense of how good they were bred to be and are

Most of these younguns I been seeing the last few days seem to have looked a lot more impressive a few months back when starting out.

Nope not at all....his one bad race was the Geers when he was in the 10 hole and came from behind but when he gets the lead he doesnt let anyone past..thats at least 3 races I recall he looked like he was beat coming into the stretch but he just digs in and grinds...by the way Osiris snuck up for 4th...the only horse that made up any ground

for those wondering why usa trainers want to bring their drivers up for big races just watch last night races, some deplorable drives especially in the na cup race

mclure will be dominant  at mohawk for years to come
mcnair is decent
filion and henry are ok but much older

the rest are hopeless

And that spread might be less in coming months and this is not me but people in the know saying this.

My Dr. saying 3-4 weeks of relative quiet, then more action, followed by a rough winter.  It's a guessing game at any rate. It's a novel virus.
