Buffalo Raceway Goes to A-B-C-D Classification

(1/3) > >>

Inside The Track:
Can anyone explain why Buffalo Raceway went to a A-B-C-D classification. The NW of Money last 4 was a good system.

Locked in with pace:
easier to fill cards

wizardofoz:
Letter classification was always better and is based on ABILITY and not money won over a period of weeks.

HarnessFan1981:
CLASS A OR OPT CL $16,500 AE: NW $4,500 LAST 4 STS OR NW 5 EXT PM RACES

CLASS B OR OPT CL $12,000 AE: NW $3,000 LAST 4 STS OR NW 4 EXT PM RACES

CLASS C OR OPT CL $7,500 AE: NW $1,750 LAST 4 STS OR NW 3 EXT PM RACES

CLASS D OR OPT CL $5,000 AE: NW $750 LAST 4 STS OR NW 2 EXT PM RACES

MIKE CAMPBELL:
ABC is superior classification system to money earnings. I have seen horses in the N/W $ races finish 5th, beaten by countless lengths and have to move UP in class. A complete joke.
