Seems like a real pain in the ass for any of us going to look at horses to buy. Need to carry around our own chip reader all the time to confirm identity of horse

How will all the groups trying to save horses from the kill pens identify the horses? From my understanding only race tracks will have chip readers

how do people identify horses in fields
only the biggest farms will have them
how do i know im not getting a switcharoo

what about taking a chip out of one horse and putting it in another
its a horrible idea
