From my hometown, a couple years younger, from old money, uncle was a good doctor in town, father a Republican politician ran the family lumber business, uncle a state Supreme Court judge. Ran and lost a race for governor, got appointed SBA head in New England (hack job both parties losing candidates have got), got lucky and won a Senate seat, tried to be a moderate like Bill Cohen, Olympia Snow, but without their intellect or skills. Will lose to a Democrat in 8 days because of her support for Trump. No guts, if she had told him to pound sand and became a independent she would have been a easy winner. Trump loses Maine, my former state, by 10 and Collins loses because she didn’t stand up to Trump.

Guess that didn't happen. Sure Trump may lose but there was never a blue wave and R party picked up house seats and 1 maybe 2 governorships. Loser pollsters, winner swamp.
