Mohawk Saturday Night
« on: August 26, 2023, 05:34:30 PM »
Great racing tonight, let’s try some picks!

Race#1-#1 CENTURY HEINEKEN 5-1 ML Short field, McNairs steeds are generally ultra sharp on stakes nights, like him at a fair price tonight!

Race#4-#7 LINEDRIVE HANOVER 4-1 Let’s be honest, tough betting eliminations, with that being said, expect James to fire off the gate, set him up for making the finals, stale effort in Hoosier, bounce back coming tonight.

Race#12-#5 RON 5-1 ML ***BEST BET*** Picks up Jamieson who’s well acquainted with him, short field, needs to fire late.

Race#13-#6 SHADOW IN RED 6-1 ML Making his third start for Auciello, perfect starting position for Doug to fire him up off the gate, rail last two trips!

Best Of Luck!  tmbz1

You know you’re ice cold when you think one is home & cooked out and it gets gunned down late lol

That was elims at it's worse.  In the final he would've really driven on him but not in the elim and it cost you.  Good play...bad luck!  tmbz1

It's looking like this bunch will be getting a splash of oil in their vinegar soon! Beach Glass got another qually in this week(150)and should be looking to be in peak form for the Breeders Crown!

Lots of future superstars were on display tonight. Funtime Bayama, Caviart Belle and Drawn Impression were in hand monsters.  Can't take anything away from TCI who won his way into the Million Dollar Mile. Bythemissal was vicious even though the half was fast, Tattoo Artist flew home in 25.2 and Mirage and Legendary Hanover have already proven to be top notch 2 year olds.  Middle pick 5 paid all of 10.50 for a buck.  Has there ever been a shorter one for a pick 5 on a major stakes night ?

Roy got along very well with Tattoo Artist, and Drawn Impression looked better than any of the boys and will probably go in the Mohawk Million.  She is the FIRST Foal of Emoticon Hanover, out of Muscle Hill...talk about gold-plated parents!!  She is also a beautiful filly.

Another bad night at the office when you play win only. Ron got up , couple others were close but that’s harness racing.

Drawn Impression impressed me the most out of all the two year olds last night. Totally effortless, what a filly she is…

Thought it odd in last race that bigsexy ca horses went at it a bit. Shadow in red (8-5) on lead was pressured by points north (ml 3-1) who faded. Not sure what to make of it. Set it up for the 5 emmits buddy which took some $ action.

Usually barns arent keen on their horses going at it that way. Odd thing is it was aucciello barn regular drury who cooked the other half of barn.

Yeah the race set up for him, but man Bythemissal was scary good.
He catches that half at The Red Mile Bulldogs record would be in serious jeopardy.

Bythemissal appears to be a monster right now. Poor Allywag jammed up again at this track. Was still able to manuever out and make the final but honestly Todd should have pulled before 3/4 to pass that rat Whichwaytothebeac h, still would have lost to Bythemissal most likely

Why should he have pulled before 3/4? Nobody cares about people gambling on horses. They have no protection. Todd made the final and used as little horse as possible. Mission complete

he barely got 5th, at the top of the stretch there was a decent shot he was going to miss the final, did you even watch the race

Isn't there a possibility that pulling before the 3/4 as you suggested would have left the horse out of the final?
