Maybe these tracks should take out 10% vs 25%
« on: June 12, 2020, 09:19:46 PM »
maybe then would the horseplayers have a chance.
Why dont these stupid mf horseplayers go on strike?
10% Takeout  thats it. No  20-30% stuff    way too much
They are killing the players and the players are such idiots they just keep on betting and let the tracks take as much as they want.
who needs $30,000  and $15,000 purses...other than the owners and breeders..10% Take out thats it  MAX

80 years ago, horse racing was the USA's most attended sport.

By far.

Takeout then was 10%

The bottom line...while the race is amusing...it is nothing more than
a "card shuffle" where the ultimate decision is a # or 2  or 3  or 4
just like picking a ping pong ball.
just like a sporting event.
but the cost of wagering is so absurd..who the hell is stupid enuf
to waste their money?
alot of idiots...
when u hit a $5 win payoff...it should have paid around $6.60.
A  $3.20 payoff should have been $4
The takeout is so high no one can win.
I have one thing to say to the tracks.
Go ****** yourself. U are all crooks.
The T breds are the worst...with this guy Stronach...

very true that takeout is too high. when all racing even dogs were packed and handles great take was low. then the exotic wagers came in with higher takes. tracks couldnt stop their greed. i stopped playing pa tracks years ago when some bets take hit the 30 % range. small take is bigger churn of the money. also new and younger people might take interest. most start betting win place show. going to 2.10 didnt help either. when i was  younger i can remember payoffs all the time 5.00 win 4.00 place 3.60 show. now you get 5,2.60,2.10 the greed tuned off anyone new. takes way too much out of my bankroll.

Did anyone know that a $4 horse without any takeout pays
$3.20 with a 20% take
A $2.80 horse should actually pay $3.60
The take is absurd..
and then ADD BREAKAGE...
they take the few extra pennies for themselves.
I Say FUC ALL the tracks until takout reduced to 10%
DRop the purses 50%..
I donot need to fund $100k purses with my betting $.
Purses 5k  6k  8 k   10k   thats it.
