Down the road and airs last night in the Final like the good horse the public knew she was when they made her odds on last week and the driver drove her in that "unsatisfactory manner". When you think of the egg that this leaves on the faces of the public, plus the monies lost last week, isn't $300 pretty light? How about $30,000? The public took it on the chin for much, much more last week.
It's criminal, harness racing. It's organized crime which is overseen by a gathering of complacent, incompetent, never-bet-a-dollar-in-their-lives mopes who have zero understanding that racing is all about gambling and without the gamblers, none of them have jobs. I watch races all day everyday and examples like this one -- whether it be "unsatisfactory" drives, beard trainers, slow quarters, the list goes on and on and on -- happen multiple times daily and nothing is done. Nothing. We are absolute fools for putting up with it, for putting up our hard-earned.
