Poor guy was in the hospital and his horse was at a farm in Manalapan NJ and when he got out the horse was gone. I guess it is like when you have a car too long at a mechanic and he auctions it off for storage fee and board. Cops are investigating. Article today in the NY Post.

Name the guy

Article did not report owners name. It would have to be in the police report. All they reported was that he is 84 and from New York.

Or if you have a loan on anything and don’t make a payment or contact the person it gets sold for past due. Don’t pay your storage unit 3 months then watch the auction. Most trainers will work with good owners in times of crisis. Doubt that is the case here

Probably did the old guy a solid. He may be better off. Sounds like the horse raced at freehold.

Who was the trainer? Or if the farm knew he was in hospital..fuckin rodents they are...
-
All signs lead me to believe that the trainer was the run of the mill Bustout! I'm sure that this is not an isolated case of a senior owner who lost touch with a trainer due to hospitalizations! This could have been a member of a fractional ownership group, that resold his percentage due to delinquent bills also.

Likely deserved it. Mc coo
