Watch race 12 number 6 quality Bud horse leaves hard to secure the pocket just like any good driver would and then never has a chance to race and finishes fourth how is this helping racing and bringing in new gamblers? How is it that people can make such terrible decisions and think it's going to help
-
i think the passing lane has costed me money long term gambling
but nothing is worse than only betting win and the horse is loaded pinned at the pegs
-
Makes no sense anymore not to have the passing lane.
The horse was loaded Harris change so much on that horse tonight was a different animal.
-
yeah and bartlett wont mover over for his mother with that banca pig.

Zeron blows on a half. Always a great bet against at low odds! tmbz1 Also, how much did you score on that complete form reversal rat Eightoclockstorm?

He is more of a patient and passive driver
Doesn’t mean he is bad

if you don't want to get locked in, pull on the right line.

Then who bet the horse down off that time off and 1 poor looking qualifier? John Q. Public?
No way

We have been over this before
the passing lane is and always was a BAD idea on any sized oval
the passing lane, with so many slot fueled purses every week at almost every track.. it pays to just sit on the pylons and sit and wait some more then hope to fly home and be happy with small check .... the problem is there is hardly any movement in that scenario
you avoid going first over at any cost ... everyone afraid to move first . There always next week mentality . Why go first over? just sit and wait and next week maybe you’ll get a favorable spot.
The passing lane makes everyone lackadaisical and happy not to get roughed up ... there’s no hardball , no real eyeball to eyeball racing .. there’s always next weeks small purse check awaiting you
now we have idiot two turn tracks like Hoosier with a passing lane.. classic example of getting all caught up in the frenzy
passing lane bad idea, never helped racing
projects image to dim witted fans and bettors that they have a fighting chance
if you get locked in the pocket ...so what? that’s called RACING
-
passing lane is a failure.

Tracks without passing lanes have no more movement than tracks that have them. The idea of a passing lane is to allow more horses a chance of winning or at least get some money in the stretch. Ask any big T-Bred gambler and one of their main reasons for not betting Harness is horses getting locked in. T-Bred races for the most part don't have to deal with getting locked in and that IMO is a huge reason why Harness will never attract big time gamblers. They don't want to see their money looking and not finding room in the stretch. Is the passing lane perfect? Of course not but as long as we hitch a race bike to our horses which is why horses can't go anywhere, we need to do something to give gamblers at least the perception that their money wasn't completely wasted.
that’s we were severely disagree
There are tons more valid reasons why tbred players avoid harness racing
getting locked in is not only not on the bottom of the list ... it’s not even on the list
this fan perception of having a fighting chance turning for home ( that’s why two turn tracks handle better) was never a factor when i started out going to Liberty Bell and Brandywine in the late 70s ... this all decades before this ridiculous passing lane
disagree about the movement also... on Jug week you don’t see horses happy to sit buried on the cones for most of the mile like 97% of today’s races
also i notice Tioga and Plainridge have more movement than the Pennsylvania and Ohio ovals
-
You want more movement? Handicap every race giving the m/l the 8 hole, then you'll have movement.
-
Best thing to do with Yawnkers
Is shitt cann the whole place!!

In this case never had the chance...boxed in all the way
