What chance do you think they have in collecting from Rene Allard ?

I can tell you 10% of the income should be affordable for most. Many get relieved of the restitution if they make a real effort , keep themselves clean and out of trouble, long before the 20 years. Especially if the payee is not convoluted like hundreds of claimants.
I would bet they cut him lose in less than 5 years.

may need the  Counselor to answer this. If the restitution is $16,900.000 and it lasts for 20 years, that would mean the  payback would be roughly $845,000 a year. And it states that it can only be 10% of the monthly income so the yearly earnings would have to be over $8 million. Why would the courts set a monetary number that in all likelihood can no be even remotely reached?

They threw the best mares around at him years 1 and 2 and really, he's done nothing of note with them so far. While it is still early, you'd like to see a standout somewhere and it's just not there yet. My guess is they will figure out what he crosses well with, and narrow it down and he will end up ok.

I feel sorry for anyone who ponied up 25k in stud fees for one, though. Hanover needs a sanity check leaving him there.

Some of the best mares + Big Money at sales + going to the best trainers ==> should not equal the results to this point...

The entire Loney clan has been drug using cheaters for generations. Many people say Rocky was straight but the others are documented dopers.

Harness Racing / Re: Race Secretary
« Last post by bond on Today at 06:56:23 AM »

I do remember the hey days of Harness Racing, 15,000+ in the stands. It was nightly
and sometimes daily happenings. And we are talking Monticello Raceway back in the 70's
An afternoon at Freehold, with an early double at Yonkers to finish with the late double
and superfecta at Monti. Or better yet Liberty Bell or Garden State. And then there was
42,000+ at Roosevelt with Albatross vs. Nansemond facing off. Wow! What a time that
   was.
Well that was then, and this is now. Now it has all gone to shit. And you know what, all
that is left are the memories. In those days the purse structure was not full of $27,000
Invites like it is today. Maybe I am just not good with the handouts that are given
as I wish I could have raced for the money that is being throw around today.
But where does it end. My guess it will end when the full blown casino's are up and
running in New York City and Yonkers will go the way of the tracks of yesterday.
Tell me what business do you know that is being supported by the states where high
profile employees, ie. owners, trainers and drivers are taking $$$ hand over fists.
Its just not right. With so much money available you just have to know that corruption
is at the highest levels. And might I suggest that "Race Secretary" is at the top of the
list with his hands out. It is just to easy. That is my say, Thanks.

PS. Anyone who has or has access to the October 1975 Hoof Beats, the one with Silk Stockings
in the centerfold, I sure would like to purchase that issue.
Fresh Lasix--there are a slew of businesses where the hierarchy takes $$$ hand of fist. Biggest ones are Government operated-and the CEO-takes insane $$$.
It stops Fresh lasix--when good men stand up and fight against evil.
When corruption gets to a point where there are more evil doers than those willing to overturn them--the business turns to shit.
This is whats happening to Harness Racing---and Yonkers is at the head of the snake.
I agree-the "Race Secretary" and those associated with him--are not looking after the best interests of the Sport. CRONYISM  is the order of the day at Yonkers these days.
FBI--or MGM management---IF they ever get involved--seems to me the only way to remove the Cancer.

Meadows

Race 13     #2   Lou Hill --- Q well for Virgil Morgan who ships to the Meadows.
Winner - Didn't pay much, but the value was in the late Double with the Favorite easily winning the 12th race

Churchill Downs

Race 8      #9   Grecian Goddess --- makes drop and Chad Brown stable has been on fire the last month. Has to
deal with the favorite from the Brad Cox barn
Finished 3rd, luckily got my $10 as it was TVG insurance race of the day

Vermon Downs

Race 1     #4        Panatee - had pace going to 3/4 pole --- all kinds of a mess with horses stopping and hooking
wheels in front of him... Drops into bottom at Vernon.
                            Second - beaten a neck -  paid $20 to place -- $1 back wheel exacta ( cost $6 ) paid $69.00

Scioto Downs

Race 6    #7         Trick of the Light --- Q well
Winner -- $3.60 was an actual gift for this horse

Race 14  #1         Odds on Cinamon  --- Q  well
                           Winner -- $8.00

Hoosier Park

Race 3    #5        ER Super Shady  --- was taken out by the stopping horse Atlee Bender was on and closed
okay into a very fast last mile and last half,,,, will need some pace to run at -- hard to get
alot of times at Hoosier as they usually walk up the backside.
basically was parked the whole mile as he popped out on first turn and started forward, swung wide stretch, tired... will say this
was good as the horse / driver tried from a terrible spot

Race 10   #3       Low Rider --- the always tough Open Mares with an invade from Ohio that adds a new face to
the open class. Closed pretty well while having to make a charge from the 6 path in the stretch.
                          Winner - $15.20

Freshlasix, go to Facebook group Anything Harness Racing. A gentleman named John Spindler is selling Hoof Beats from 1950 to 1985. He might have the Hoofbeats with Silk Stockings in his collection.
