From a business perspective, the site (and in fairness many others) makes no sense. Simply a place for a few in the business to comment and many others (most) to complain, bullshit, stir up racist and political threads, take shots at people in the business, and make loads of trash talk. It does of course also allow for old former soldiers to expound about whatever demons currently roam in their heads. Ask yourself would it be missed? Since Nance and a few others left, nope. The 50,000 post plus group here just not up to the standards set by those who left. Just my two or less cents worth.

Plop is trying to legally show going forward how they can limit their exposure to the various lawsuits. The site will not be able to operate with it’s current practices in place because of the lawsuits that are pending.

This entire previous page of nonsensical, off topic, e.e. cummings sentence structured inside banter, is a microcosm of the devolvement of this site.
The only way to bring the site back to any semblance of relevance, is to create a quarantined sub group for the ALL CAPS attention whores, Klansmen, Gural is a Jew crew, Harness Racing is Satan, and the who's banging who in the ass types, so the somewhat coherent, actual racing topic interested among us, might actually converse.
Many of the posters who dominate the space now, tend to suck the oxygen out of any actual racing topics, by eventually turning them into a slurred drunken barroom discourse. That is what suppresses involvement from others. When the same five or so people just trade nonsense among themselves, there is no path for an actual broad spectrum discussion involving larger numbers of people.
Just like in real life: Clean up the streets, and the customers will come back.

Should we add more moderation/mods?
Rather than removing posts that individual(s) don't like for whatever reasoning the mods need to instead remove the pointless BS / racist posts / off topic ramblings and suspend the accounts of the repeated offenders...These never get removed so for me, personally, I just leave the site rather than going down the rabbit hole of senseless postings...Not looking to call out anybody specific but some members seem to post just to see their name in lights rather than adding anything to a topic.

As the interest in harness has dropped massively in the past thirty years I see no way that a forum without any form of monetization can survive. The problem in that is that no one in the harness business with money to spend is going to invest in this site with it's current problems and member funding is an absurd idea.
Admin ... If you want to survive make some rules against racism and discrimination get moderators that care and will get rid of all the crap, get rid of anything you don't need (like all the other forums), etc etc. If you want to attract advertisers than make it attractive.

The problem in that is that no one in the harness business with money to spend is going to invest in this site with it's current problems and member funding is an absurd idea.
Admin ... If you want to survive make some rules against racism and discrimination get moderators that care and will get rid of all the crap, get rid of anything you don't need (like all the other forums), etc etc. If you want to attract advertisers than make it attractive.

I get tired of reading thru all the BS to find anything of any value. Just a playground for those who just want to bad mouth the game,
instead of trying to do anything positive. Of course, there are major problems in horse racing. Most of the regulars know this is just a playground. I worry about the new person who finds this site, and believes everything on here. As it is now, I see no useful purpose of this site, other than amusement and to re-enforce my view of the insanity in the world.
