For as long as I can remember, Northfield raced a 4 day a week or better schedule through out the winter. This year was not close to severity of the previous winters. It would appear Northfield as other tracks have trimmed their track maintenance capital track improvement budgets. Proof is in the current conditions of many track surfaces.

Again I’m not criticizing half mile Racing I’m criticizing the shit conditions of these tracks racing surfacewhether it’s Monticello or northfield.. yonkers  or saratoga

 where ever you track owners have to do a better job keeping the track maintained properly

Well if the horse don’t train at the track and broke down in post parade that’s not the tracks fault. Horses don’t break down in post parade unless it’s a freak accident or they already had a problem.
