2 straight weeks Tom Jackson fails the breathalyzer? Wow!
-
Hope this guy gets help if true. Common issue but he'll have to face and be serious about wanting to be sober. Eventhen, and that i can tell you from my conversion 28 yrs ago is not fun, some cant break the hold.
Loved the band and early days with his brother michael. ABC was a megahit.

He's not the first nor will he be the last. He would have smarter to call off sick and stay where you are and have another drink. Less problematic. I've seen drivers get told to go get some coffee and come back, never saw it work.

2 in two weeks.
Maybe a stiffer fine for the second one would be a wakeup call
Sadly, I doubt it

Drunks are the dregs of society.
-
what other line of work can you show up drunk and they say "ahhh just take 5 days off." and then a week or two later you do it again and they are like "ok maybe take 10 days"
These fines and suspensions seem like they were set in the days of Mickey Mantle showing up hungover and hitting 500 foot bombs! It's 2023 for chrisssakes!

Hopefully someone will intervene and help him with this problem. If a guy can't make it through the day without a drink, he has no business getting behind a horse!

Never cared for the guy. Long time ago he was at Rosecroft driving for Sapienza. Drove my horse on night in a 4 claimer and got off and said he needs a lower claimer, although he never got out and was running over the horse in front of him. So, I took his word and put him in for 3K, Guess what he gets claimed by Sapienza! Next start they put him in for 4K and torture him and he finished up the track, I wound up buying him back for 2K a month later!

Serious problem if ur regularly drunk in day. I got on elevator one day at work at 745 and only guy with me smelled like he had just jugged a half quart vodka. And wasnt that rotten pepporoni smell that seems to ooze from boozer pores - this was fresh vodka smell. And i know, i probably drank more vodka in my early yrs than the entire horseplop nation combined. Tough, tough way to continue to go thru life.
