Suffered a brain aneurysm in the winner's circle after winning a DSBF trot with Big Al M at Harrington.  Taken by ambulance to hospital..races held up until ambulance returned.  Said to be doing better and out of the hospital, I think.  I see a GOFUNDME has been set up for him..see USTA website for info.

What happened to Eddie Davis jr

This is from a post made by his wife Janet about 10 days ago and again on June 28

Ed had what we thought was heat exhaustion Monday night, but recurred again last night. Forced him in to an ambulance (typical horseman🤬) a CT scan revealed bleeding on the brain. Craneotomy performed next  am to relieve pressure off the brain . He was  resting as comfortably as possible later in the day.

June 28
He is now at home but my  man has a very long road ahead

$40,000,000.00 in purses the guy won.

Now he's begging for money?

Give him a case of Depends and a drool cup and let him think about things.

40 million over a 40 year career comes out to 50k a year at the standard 5%. Not even close to middle class and a family health plan these days costs 30k plus for high quality. Not a big fan of Go Fund Me, but 90 % of these harness drivers live paycheck to paycheck, just saying. Get well soon.

Well said and 100% accurate..

It is hard to believe he had no horseman association health insurance.

Good guy and hope he gets well!

i think saying a 40 yr career is stretching it if in fact the gentleman is 55 yrs old
maybe 30 year career would be more accurate
i guess horseman are not known for being the most astute when it comes to financial planning
wishing him the best
