Jimmy Pants is currently batting .242 at The Meadows and .199 at Pocono Downs. Why does Tanneyhill and Oaks or anyone besides his wife put him up??? Is there a driver shortage there?
-
may be a little off right now for whatever reason
but jimmy pants is one of my favorite drivers to bet
and one of top 5 at meadows no doubt and his been top 5
there for a very long time... tmbz1

I don't think a total of 3 drives in that series qualifies as lowering the percentage in any significant way. He didn't even race after the first week.
-
His percentage is lower because he drove some horses in the Levy at Yonkers that CLEARLY DIDN’T BELONG! I don’t mind playing him at all-brings in some nice “prices”!!
Okay, So I looked up his last 10 years and his average UDRS over that time is a whopping .236. The numbers don't lie.
-
Did you look up he has over 8000 wins genius . He has driven for a bunch of clown trainers over the years including the ones he currently drives for. Whats there training percentage. Balcerak, Earhart, Good, krenitsky. Definitely tops in the game. Hard to win a bunch driving that crap. How many wins do you have?

Thank you for acknowledging my above average IQ. I only have 2 wins in 22 starts lifetime. I had a couple of cheap horses and drove some rats at the county fairs. While 8,041 wins is a lot, it took him 56,560 starts to do it for a lifetime UDR of .261. Don't get me wrong, Jimmy is a hard worker (I used to work for him) and a pretty good trainer but if he drives for a "bunch of clown trainers" as you put it, thats on him.

you must have Jimmy Morrill in the elite drivers club based upon his %
-
After the elite guys, you're forced to put up a B category guy, not an option you like! Can get the horse around the track safely and rarely does anything dangerous! 8,000 wins is very commendable but not the feat it was 20 years ago and there are certainly a lot of other B drivers I would use if they were available!

Average batting average for a 9 horse field is 209 so he is doing better than average driving below average mounts.

Yes, I know he was tossed from Northfield and I believe freehold as well???

The answer could be that Pants is an average driver.
-

I remember Morrill from his Meadowlands days. It was a great time to bet. The drivers were terrific too. Jimmy didn't get the best. I always like his effort & found him to be live on many longshots.
