How many lengths is 68 feet
« on: December 03, 2023, 11:48:56 PM »
No surprise at all Northfield was short, but I just had a friend tell me it was 68 feet short

that seems like overkill

where's our Ohio horseman in the know?

...it will be years before any current track records are broke.

Alot of people have been defrauded by the ridiculous times that were recorded as Official! NFLD should be sued for defrauding the public as well as the horsemen.

Where is the proof about the trach being short.

Been talked about here before. As I recall the track was surveyed prior to some resurfacing work thus the 68 feet number. Afterwards one of the drivers in a video said to him the pylons looked to be further out after the resurfacing. Also the race times seemed to have slowed a lot now that they are supposedly racing a mile.

Lengths are measured in fifths of seconds, not length of horse, which varies.

where's the proof???
how about looking at the times since the "reconfigured" the track
its not like they are off a little, most races and horses are off by 3 seconds

In a winners circle interview post resurfacing winning driver P. Roy stated that last turn was not  as sharp and had less banking than the last time he was there. A.Mac also said that the grass is not as close as it used to be.

They did widen the turn on the backstretch.
Speed certainly isn't holding up that well there, anymore.
