All good. Our discussion about that horse at harrington, put me in mind of him. Perry was the funkiest gaited thing you ever saw. He actually wore two different sized hobbles. 9,5 inch left side/61 right side. Only herve had the balls to drive him. Fantastic lame but game racehorse   Perry put a check for 250 in my trunk and said any time I want to go out and train him in my hobbles in 2;10, I could cash and keep the check. I didn't have the guts to do it   great memories

He was Sport's Eyes Claimer of the year one season  Think it was 1990, but I may be wrong. 22 wins the year he won the accolade  Had to see this thing warm up and score down   drove the State Vet crazy    Once the gate opened and herve ranged alongside first over, he just lengthened his gate and wore down anything on the lead   Perry just jammed him 22k claimers, nobody dared go near him Ty for your nice comment

Perry last trained in 1995...any idea where he is these days.  He’d be turning 71

Although not as decorated as Perry. There was a tough mare in Ohio, Top Brand, Broke a track record at Scioto that hasn't been broken, but cant find if she was retired to breeding shed or lost to Amish.

Perry basically had to get out of the business by that time. I do know that unfortunately he is no longer alive.
Funny anecdote. I remember when Gary Mosher stiffed one of Perry's horses and Perry's brother, Ira, jumped in a VW bug and drove it right down the shedrow at Roosevelt trying to run Mosher over. Trunks, blankets, buckets and people flyin g everywhere.
