Blood sample #874045 collected at Scioto Downs on September 8, 2018 for the horse BELIEVE IN WACO was found to contain presence of Meloxicam, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). In addition, all purse money must be returned ($68,725.00). During his suspension Mr. Novak is denied the use and privileges of all grounds sanctioned by the OSRC. All horses owned and/or trained by Mr. Novak are suspended and may only be transferred by the judges at Scioto Downs and/or the OSRC in accordance to its policy. Status as of 10/16/2018 - Appeal - Mr. Novak has appealed this ruling and has requested a split sample.
