The yearling prices for starters in the NA Cup. Don't really have a point other than it's pretty interesting. Considering what yearlings have been selling for, not a lot of high priced ones.
1 Fourever Boy $50,000
2 I Did It Myway Homebred
3 Ron $26,000
4 Beach Glass Homebred
5 Pebble Beach(L) $85,000
6 Ario Hanover $45,000
7 Night Hawk(L) $35,000
8 Kolby Two Step $12,000
9 Frozen Hanover $325,000
10 Mad Max Hanover $50,000

one correction: Beach Glass sold for $30,000. not a homebred. another bargain

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they same ownership group, Schooner Stable bought the mare, Im With Her for $90K at Harrisburg then bred her to SBSW. The also own a 2yr old Stay Hungry and a yearling Downbytheseaside from the same mare.

Pebble Beach was the first of ten Seasides my trainer and I had on our list down in Lex. two years ago. He had good conformation , but was a bit small with a hernia. If he had gone a little less we probably would have got him. You never know how good a horse is going to be based on size. I looked last year and seven of the ten on our list never made a penny as 2 yo. Picking yearlings is just one big scrap shoot.

What a pathetic bunch that was.

What a pathetic bunch that was.
That was terrible racing
No flow nothin agreed
-
Bernie you ain't shittin.....that was a weak batch of 3 yr olds for 1mill...if that's the best they have to offer it will be a boring year for 3 yr old pacers males
-
12 races down and all chalk. Yes a boring North American Cup. Maybe a spicy hi 5 payout in 13th?

Agreed, those weren't very good and the winner could've been 2 seconds better than the field if he needed to be. That horse might make 2 million this year if he stays healthy. And not because he's a world beater, the rest aren't very good.
-
Super weak, 1:50 & most can’t keep up… majority of these were grass roots B colts in banner years…
-
Pebble Beach is a good horse, but nothing close to a great horse. He's got the heart but not the size. I'm not sure if he could even win the Ohio sires stakes. Burkes seasides and gulf shores would give him a run for his money.
-
none of burkes can touch him
and open shores isnt in his league.
he beat him already ..
peeble is a nice horse..
dont know what david miller was thinking not leaving yesterday
maybe he was gonna out close them from almost last ngc3 ngc3
terrible fckin drive by miller racing for 1 million..
-
It’s like the year Tell All won a bunch of big races, weak crop
-
and the Gural rule going to hit him right in the face...Best 3 YO by far and he will not be racing at the Big M this year if ever...stupid

Burkes seasides have both been in 1:50 on a 5/8 this year. He didn't look that invincible last year when he lost in Ky and a Ohio SS leg and the breeders crown to gulf shores and monti miki. He has proven at least to me he's the best of the bunch yet against that group.
-
they don't say beat a bunch of weak horses on the check.
won't remember at the end of the year.

gural got lucky with the sports book
or bigm wood be closed already
hes a dictator

When did time become a factor as long as you win that is the game.Give me any of them I would take it.
-
Time was not the issue. These are dreadful horses and if you didn't notice, you are even dumber than I thought. That is damn near impossible.
-
best so far this year, ez winner
-
The best 3 years olds did not race in the N.A. Cup you will see them at the Meadowland for the pace you bunch of losing cry babies all ways moaning about something .

Gulf Shores vs. Pebble Beach in The Jug
I think Burkes Bythemissal or Barry's berries can be in the mix. Both in 1:50 on a 5/8. Gulf Shores didn't look completely dominate his last start. Don't know who's the best in Indiana or out east.

What is going on with Hammering Hank?
-
I think he raced a couple of weeks ago in Pennsylvania and was second or third. I think.

Hammering Hank and Gulf Shores both in the Messenger elims Friday night at The Hilltop!
