Drivers who should stick to warming up horses
« on: September 02, 2023, 06:04:08 AM »
My first place vote goes to Jack Killeen

11th race Friday he goes inside FOUR pylons in the first turn and gets placed last.

Maybe in the last turn with a very tired horse, but in the first turn inexcusable.

Dude shouldn't be driving in PM races

I saw the replay. It was flagrant. It's hard to explain how this could happen. The horse didn't seem rank or unmanageable and there weren't any horses crowding him.

I assume the Killeen will get suspended for "careless" driving or something like that.

Shouldn’t we give Jack K. some credit for finding the shortest way to the finish line?

Was it as blatant as Donnie McElroy's move at Western Fair?

and won?

IF TRUE, THAT HAD TO BE THE ALLTIME BRINKS JOB IN HARNESS HISTORY.  To the hall of famer Frank Salive's credit, he noted Resisto as the winner (FULLY EXPECTING such ridiculous Mcelroy shenanigans to be DQed)  oct 28, 2008 6.55pm 12th race= long afternoon, judges already 'a couple in', money down,,,,please say it aint so joe)

YOU DON'T GET IT. WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO LOSE WITHOUT MAKING IT LOOK OBVIOUS LIKE YOU HOLDING A HORSE BACK OR STIFFING? JUST GO INSIDE A FEW PYLONS AND ITS AS EASY AS 1-2-3 A SMALL FINE AND YOUR D'QED SO YOU CASH YOUR TICKETS ON THE OTHER HORSES AND GET AWAY WITH TOSSING YOUR HORSE OFF THE BETTING TICKET. THAT IS ACTUALLY A VERY GOOD STRATEGY TODAY WITH PEOPLE WATCHING THE RACES SO CLOSELY AND ACCUSATIONS OF STIFFING, JUST RUN INSIDE A FEW PYLONS AND YOURE GOOD TO GO.

agreed
i have seen james macdonald do it numerous times at mohawk in the first turn, of course never in stakes race, just your average overnight
no excuses no interference
just  says the horse was bearing in and i couldnt hold him
total bull shit
fines and suspensions need to be increased for this type of nonsense

The race is a mile. Easy interpretation === go inside a pylon== placed last. Then let the judges decide if it was the horse or the driver.  However.. most judges don’t know what is going on during a race.

That kid isn't smart enough to stiff one. Just another young driver trying to make a living at a B track. He'll be at the fairs if you want his services
