Title: Is brushing the right move?
Post by: goblue on June 22, 2018, 02:36:12 PM: Just watched Race 4 at Harrah's. Tim comes away third and brushes with the 6 (9/2) before any outer flow develops. The 1 (13/1) comes first over and puts away the 6 with ease. 6 goes backwards and clogs up the inside, closing in 29.1.

Is this the right strategy for a third or fourth favorite who comes away third? I know being locked in is brutal, but it seems like drivers are doing this more and more, and it never seems to pay off.
