Nice weather, great week to be at the fair.  Handle about 100,000.

Where does the funding for Maine Fair Racing purses come from?

Is it traditional Horsemen Welfare from casinos or something different?

This just defies any logic at all.  Now this places’ Sunday card has (10) races which, once again, are all 5-6 horse fields.  However on this day, 40% (4 of 10) of the races have the same trainer down on (2) horses!!  Why in the world would a State run entity allow this foolishness to continue???  Complete waste of taxpayer money.

Give me a break. The amount spent on racing from the state's budget is LESS than 1 %.

horrible race saturday 4th. amature race  the two favorites, rail with send everything alex  and speed, 3 hole speed with benson 200 races this year barely an "a" driver on  a speedball.  gate comes down streach to start  and no ones leaving except 0 for 100 dakota jackson. big smile on face as he leaves and goes wire to wire to get his first carrear victory. even for amatures race was embaressment to harness racing and maines premier meet fryeburg. i thought mike cushing was going to announce before the first turn to go to the windows if you bet on jackson.  its no wonder no one cares about maine racing.
