Horses leaving from my track and going North are growing wings. That silly Butterfields using it no doubt in my mind. Maine should be ashamed letting him do what he is doing there... poor horses...

Watch the replay of race 8 from cumberland yesterday. Butterfields horse hadnt moved a muscle for a year and yesterday its first up and parked the mile and surges to win. An amazing form reversal.

whats even sadder is before the 8th race the poor horse was so crippled he had to go score down before the vet. vet said "i think he has 4 legs hes ok"  we laugh and joke about blind judges and we have mr magoo as a vet.  how many lawsuits will happen when one of these animals breaks down and someone gets hurt?

What tracks can Butterfield race at? Is it only here in Maine? Is that confirmed or his choice? Most of his horses are cheaper ones.

If you win 15 races a year in cheap horses, you might break even.  It’s a hobby here (or delusion) for most.  If you get the entire handle on most races, you got a tank of gas and a lobster roll.  But for the few who play it, the few who own them, and the few who work in it, it’s important.  Every year, one closer to oblivion, let them enjoy it while they can.

trainer butterfield only licensed in maine. in the last year with over 105 starts win percentage 43 utr .541.
crap from monti slow and crippled are going in 55 on cumberlands fairground oval and looking like they could do it going backwards. its no wonder maine racing is on its last legs. testing? in maine whats that? although i think a few years ago there was a caffeine positive. then again his horses dont live long enough to be tested.  grim i agree with you but on one thing, i myself dont enjoy handdicapping or racing against who has the best drugs. its not enjoyable.      another maine note 2 weeks into cumberland and post time change. last few tracks i been at closed shortly after changing. not a very good sign.
