I hope they average $3,000,000 a card. But let's be realistic. The market is been pretty much defined for harness racing wagering. For Hawthorne or any other track to gain a significant amount wagered on their product, they will need to develop new customers.
 This comes at a cost. And, the cost to attract, develop and maintain a customer has been clearly proven to be way more than the value of the customer.
 No business has or will survive at a scale of customer 10 times grater than the value of the customer. 
 There will be deep adjustments with the summer meet.

Thanks TT.  This isn't a growth industry and for Hawthorne to be doing 1.3m for 10 races it didn't figure when they barely got 80k-90k a race.  So barely any new blood and it's the same money churn as Balmoral.

It was the drug addict Tim Curtin on Poker Joe and clearly he did that on purpose!

In three of this horse's last 5 races Tim Curtin left from an outside position and had the lead in 28&change!

The first qt. went in 31.0 this time and Curtin refused to move up or on!

He instead sat first up the entire mile and still finished 4th beaten by three lengths.
