Last season looked like he was making strides but not now.
-
Next week they will all have the Moo Coo gas , which will be moved from Monticello to Bangor and then to Cumberland
Right now , Butterfield is getting of it
-
Agree with Cornish. He had some good drives, just no horse power to complete moves. However, he is average, at best. Ranger, both Moshers, Athearn, Drew, Hall, Deslandes are better, Switzer, Graffam, Sowers, second tier. Still missing Heath and Val, not much of Ireland either.
-
Graffam and Switzer 2nd tier?? I don't think so. Both driving for some stables with power at the ridge. Deslandes gets embarrassed when he tries to drive with the big boys.
-
Switzer does not seem like Switzer of years back. Graffam has not looked impressive to me either this year. Deslandes may be benefiting from dictionary horsepower, although he has improved.
-
Deslandes is terrible. He juat sends them.. gets lost off the pace. No brains... remember the apple doesn't fall from the tree...
-
nick g and jr look off this year. wont call em 2nd tier but off to a slow start.
-
forgot to say that twomacsoneshadow race 7 was a huge improvement over last weeks fine drive.
-
WOW THIS IS LOU PENNA?
-
He is trainer of the year already.
-
He at got him over to the rail this week

I guess you are not watching Plainridge...wher e the money is
Both Nick and Jr are competing well against the likes of Shawn and Bruce and Jay Randall and Merton and Monti
The stables Jr drives for did not race at NY tracks all Winter and Spring......and will be strong by their 3rd start
Dan is a half mile track driver..who can get a horse off the gate...this works at Bangor...and will work at Cumberland....... ................. .his horses make money and you know he will always be in the race
He is wasting his time when he goes to Plainridge
Looks like a nice program Monday
I'll be there to wager
-
butterman is gonna gwt alot of new horses soon

Runaway win % winner. Merrell may have way more starts and total wins

Condition sheet is out. No use of TM ratings. Lots of thought put into the classification. Should make for some nice racing.
-
Conditions do look interesting. I like the "Maine" condition added to most classes
We should be able to find classes for our horses who cant compete at Plainridge
And giving Marc a chance by us, trying to fill his classes will help him write future condition sheets.
He will have a good handle on what his horse population is
Who is Marcs assistant Jean Thayer
-
Looks like he did what the ridge did for 100% Mass owned horses this year. They all get a 20% allowance on the money earned in condition races.
-
Nice to see the old Scarborough conditions are back!
-
great condition sheet. good to see jean involved too. like that its not trackmaster conditions. hope for a great meet.
-
Chief Yogi
Who is Jean Thayer...any relation to the Thayers who have been racing in Maine
Thanks

What condition sheet are you looking at? Every race except the FFA has trackmaster ratings figured in

On Golden Pond
-
They are weighing in on First Tracks condition sheet, not Bangor's. Jean Thayer is Asst. Race Director there also. Sheet now available on USTA
-
yes, cumberlands sheet is pretty good thought out a bit. will hopefully lead to good racing and some fan interest. its hard to write the right conditions all the time, the fact that it looks like thought was put into cumbys is a good step. with time some tinkering might have to happen but that is what a good race dept will do. thumbs up on first sheet.

Check out Wednesday at Bangor
Heath Campbell is back and is down to drive McGuires horses
Did he get days...or a good decision to give the horses a break from him
Or ?????
-
heath is an improvement, though i thought sowers was getting better. my guess is he would be better off without his current woman.
-
.......... my guess is he would be better off without his current woman.
Did you notice who owns most of the horses he drives and trains ??
