A couple of times a year I'll have a few veterans from the veterans hospital out to the farm to get up and close to the horses and do a little fishing. I am surprised the youth of some of them suffering from PTSD and how some just sit in a lawn chair and stare into nowhere. For every two there is someone from the hospital for familiarity. We put on a BBQ and just spend time with them. The horses go out to the paddocks so they can touch and rub them over the fences. It might not be a lot but it's a little give back to special people that we owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to.
