Title: Sad
Post by: Parked on January 16, 2024, 12:27:39 PM
It is sad when the list of violations shows a name we have seen on several occasions for a positive test and not one post, even on plop, about it..

It has become a commonplace and expected.  Not newsworthy ?  ..

Well, since Burke has his own thread, I’m thinking Schillaci (although I remember them being discussed before), or Jen Bo.

How can you be allowed an appeal--postpone it--then withdraw your appeal when there is no racing???---IMHO this is a frivolous appeal---and when finally taken the penalty should be tripled to stop this shit..

Although I don't disagree that that an appeal process should be allowed. I would argue that the process be constrained to a very short time, ie: 30 days. If after that length of time the case is either dismissed, or ruled upon, and any sanctions by ruling go into immediate effect, without delay.  Until the racing commissions uphold rulings as regular court systems, these chromic abusers will continue to abuse not only the animals, but the system, that allows for this type of inconsistency.

An appeal must be allowed. It should have strict deadlines. In the end, after the deadline, after a period of time, if you withdraw the appeal, you should not benefit. After a period of time, the penalty should be whatever it was pre-appeal. No benefit at all if you withdraw an appeal after a period of time. There must be disincentives to using an appeal for convenience.

The process would also move faster if the horse could not race again until case is settled or if after 30 days the owner moves the horse to new trainer. NOT A BEARD.  If a horse gets loaded and gets a check the owner benefits. If he tests positive he should suffer a consequence other than just losing the purse.

i have no problem with appeals but all purse money won while under appeal should be held in trust until a settlement is made how does atrainer make a million dollars then after stake season take a holiday

You want to know how?

Well, I'll tell you how.

Because the industry is a WELFARE STATE run for and by corrupt people for primarily their own benefit while leaving tidbits on the ground for minor, trifling welfare recipients - like you - to pick up like the hungry pigeons you are.

That's how.

Then you come along, once in a while, from time to time, every now and then to cry like a beaten child about how awful it all is.

Then you go back to picking up your tidbits.

That's how.
