Yes it’s only 120 miles north of Yonkers and the meadowlands. Still won’t open in May . The blow hard says it’s not in his best interest to open without a casino but he feels badly for the broke horseman .

More like 200 miles, but who's counting?

Jim Lawson of WEG is an astute and experienced operator
he has been rather vague about what he has  and has not said so far
I am going to assume that he would not come out with specific start dates if he did not have a confident feeling they were obtainable
now that is assuming that the state of the virus stays as is or improves, obviously if there is some kind of spike than everything goes back on hold

Western Fair would normally finish at the end of May and they now are officially done until next year.

Did you mean next season?

I'm pretty confident Western Fair will be racing in October.

Everybody is always a little pessimistic to start--but the Tbreds have been going strong--and they need many more personnel to run their races!!  i think these guys are smart enough not to F*** Up their livelihood!  I think we'll be just fine!!  Thank God for a governor in Ohio with an "R" after his name!!!

The stakes races that were canceled had precious few Ohio breds running in them.  These were races for top quality horses on the national stage, not limited in any way to Ohio sired.

Yes, how long does the $600k last?

More than 1 week?

Doesn't it matter to you how long?

How can it not matter?
