Yarrock funding that whole operation and he just busted out SCM but he just took down the video and made it private but I got it saved. I can’t believe how people don’t want anything to do with the guy even when he tries to do good. But I think because SCM keeps burning every bridge when he doesn’t get money for his own pocket that is it. Yarrock was screaming at him and now Yarrock is going to sue him. Something isn’t quite right in the kitchen.

It's easy to make calls when welfare is paying your way while you beg for donations, couldn't pay the gas to get to the farm, let alone a vehicle to get around in. Having to always rely on others.

There's no reason to go bragging and looking for donations I've rescued a few horses and found them homes and never set a peep to anybody. The expenses came out of my pocket not from donations.

Nobody is begrudging what he’s doing it’s how he’s going about it. I know a lot of people myself included that have found horses good homes when they were done racing there’s no reason to broadcast it and to look for money. There is always another angle with him. My dad would say I smell a niggaaa in the woodpile, another words, something not kosher.

Ok so I am finally going to say that with everything that just happened, I truly feel sorry for SCM. With that being said and mike finally reaching the bottom and getting thrown to the wolves, do any other horseploppers feel like maybe we should chip in and try to help him out? I always respected what mike did for horses but knew deep down he wasn’t doing it for the horses. I think he loves the game but just struggles like all of us for what’s happened to harness racing. I was thinking maybe we could toss some money together and just help him out with a promise to just walk away and enjoy his life someplace else? I am serious about this and want to know what other ploppers think. I could go without betting for a few days and start out by throwing up $75.

It's been strange these last few days. I support what he does to get rid of the trash, to see that horses in need are taken care of etc. but he is way too vindictive when he gets upset. He had a friend in Dave Yarock who is very sincere in his need to see horses taken care off so I was quite shocked to see them have a fallout, but you cannot keep airing recordings of the people who support him when it is apparent that Dave was telling him to help him out, not to have everything made public that he tells him be broadcast so it comes back on Dave.
I hope somehow Mike and him get together and sort it out, but he must have really pissed Dave off for him to go to the authorities
Work it out guys for the good of the horses and don't be so reactive when something pisses you off.

SCM has brought up a lot of things and has brought to light concerning issues where influential people have and are acting in questionable ways. They in turn have never answered one thing he brought up but I’m sure had friends and family come on plop to belittle him and sidetrack the issues . The welfare of horses is SCMs main thing. This sidetracks him from all the other things that are going on.
We who have been in harness racing for some time know the other side of racing that few talk about because of repercussion and the large majority still operate in this manner. SMC gives those who want to speak out a place to do so.
There are still a lot of issues he has brought to light that need to be taken care of so I will watch the happenings of this week while seriously considering supporting his work.

Id like to hear stories of people who have come through adversaries and overcome them to become successful happy and productive. If you have malfeasance as your main focus in life--you fail to see the people who are the exact opposite---those that just work hard and do the right thing. ie you become a hater. Perhaps there is a state program out there that deals with narcissism he definitely has an empty hole that needs to be filled from childhood.
He has good intentions with helping these horses but there always seems to be drama involved. Like I said, I’ve found a lot of horses homes when they were done racing never asked for a penny I did it because it made me feel good I kept my mouth shut I didn’t broadcast it.

I don't know the guy personally. I've seen him around, ended up in a group of people where he was there, etc. On one hand, I feel bad for the guy. He suffers from some sort of mental illness. He's a bust-out guy, living from hand to mouth, broke, never got even yet alone ahead, and so on. He's been mentally beaten down and demoralized. Yes, some of it he has brought upon himself. On the other hand, as a result of his sickness, desperate people do desperate things, so he's done some things wrong. No, the sickness is not an excuse of justification.
However, to support his so called "efforts" -- no, I would not do that. He inserts himself into situations, issues, people's lives, etc., and he does so in a very unwarranted, intrusive, damaging, and unhealthy way. So that I would not support. Yes=there is a problem not reporting a horse death to the USTA.

Nothing illegal about Mark Ford burying horses at his property EXCEPT if it causes environmental contamination. You cherry picked the horse slaughter site--that was minor compared to all the other MAJOR violations that occurred.
Mark Ford Court decision:
"The consent decree resolves violations of CWA § 301 at the two sites for discharge of fill material and process wastewater into waters of the U.S. without the appropriate CWA §§ 402 and 404 permits, and violations of terms and conditions of a construction stormwater permit issued under § 402. So 1)OWNER-not reporting a horse death to the USTA is a violation with the USTA----probably a small fine.
2) Burying a horse on ANYONES property is legal in NY as long as you dont violate any codes--which Ford did--so now he has to pay fines along with his other MAJOR discretions.
Shooting a horse --is not illegal as long as you comply with local Laws and regulations --which Ford didnt do.
Since Ford has already been to Court-and has been fined millions--why are we still rehashing this shit daily?
