Title: Why in the world would you sell an Ohio Sire Stakes Final horse before the race?
Post by: marsh99 on August 23, 2019, 06:49:14 PM: Why would you sell a horse a few days before she races for a $300,000 purse? What am I missing here? It seems like she has a shot to win it or at least pick up a really nice check.

She is 1 one a few favorites where the race is on the half and post means something. She draws 7 or 8 she is nowhere close to a favorite. If she draws in and 1 or 2 at the end OK. This is a deep and even field where 4 or 5 can be a favorite. There is no Cash Hall filly that dominated the 2 yr old filly rank like last year. Globetrotting is nice, Wrenn has a nice one, as Beaver has 1 or 2. It's all about the draw

Hate to be the owner who will have there horse stuck on the rail sitting 3rd and 4th. I have one in the race and she will be a longshot. Been going backwards. Rather she was past in point and in cons. You have to think Erv spread to thin and just figured as owner and trainer take what you get nothing is promised tomorrow?

2 of Erv’s filly’s wins came when favorites made breaks spotted the field 15+ and came back to finish 2nd. Erv is no dummy
