The stock is less then 7 dollars off it's all time high closing today at 176.43. Has a mkt cap of 6.96 bln dollars. Find me inside were it shows the valuation CDI has for the Arlington property? Whether CDI is in the running for a Waukegan or rumored as one in the mix for a Chicago mega casino they are a player with the footprint for a casino operator and are vetted for a license having holding one. Your blaming me for hating in IL racing when it's actually the racetrack owner itself hating on IL racing...lol.

I just hope my owners purchase on a nice bred Colt trotter can take down the 5 that Brink bought. Hard to play the game against his money.

I wish them well. I bought 1 filly pacer, 1 colt trotter and 1 colt pacer.  I looked at the result and every big money owner bought at least a 30k yearling in each of their divisions.

This is why Illinois needs the slots, no offense to the guy who I don’t even know but when someone says hard to beat Brink’s money it’s kinda sad. Before guys like Erv, Dirk Simpson, Roger Welch and Butenschoen left I remember Mike Brink hoping to win a feature at a county fair. And I don’t think he had more than one or two horses race on Super Night during that time.

Mike has in the past few years just to the fact there aren't many trotters bred in the state. Now for what his clients spend it's not good. Had a nice trotter King Mufasa but I suppose that was 6 years ago he won most the state races and SN at 3. Dirk was still her as well. Hard to make money back in IL with limited staking schedule and smaller SN purses.

My bad, I should've worded that better...what I meant was, it's hard for a small stable to compete with guys who have owners spending 60-100k on illinois breds.

I was referring to Casualfan post about Mike and his clients. But your right small stables are always up against the big boys. Wouldn't be any different when slots come and if IL can build a program. The small stables will have a awful tough go at that point.

On a different front commissioner McCauley resigns for personal reasons from the IRB. Left with 5 members.
