Karl is going to be an absolute Monster next year as those Tactical Landings are like a fine wine. They do and will get better with age
-
I agree Triple T's! TCI was looking for the turnout pasture halfway down the backside! On a side note,in the interview R.B. gave earlier in the night, I thought that he looked peeked and flush. The big fella better be paying attention to his own health before it's too late! Coming from a medical background, I'm aware of what early indicators look like.

Yannick just said Karl is best horse he has ever sat behind
-
I couldn't help noticing the "Mutton dressed as Lamb" having her picture taken with Karl

Then he walked it back a tick and said for sure the best 2 year old he ever sat behind. He got over excited there for a minute. Brilliant colt, but still a baby. Let's see what the future holds. Still a strapping, beautiful beast!

Karl owned in part by Crawford Farm. Where has I heard that before?

"Tci won’t lose"...Lucpark 2023
There's your excuse

That is the "Mutton dressed as lamb"

Not surprised, they look for an edge and they found one
Say what you will but Yimmy didn't retire by choice but rather to save face
-
Karl was better in Ky when they last met….just got a bit rough.

If TCI and Karl switched barns,The Yimmy tribe still wins the race!

two of the dumbest names

These horses are not machines. I doubt TCI was at his best last night. Last night was his 12th start of the year, and I think the wear and tear from some of his earlier races may have taken a toll on him.

Totally agree. After one of his big wins..maybe the Mohawk Million? Hatfield stated in the post race interview he still had BC and Valley Victory. I think they are insane if they take him to the VV but, guess we will see.

i dont care who won great race and great rivals for the future

Next year will tell the story. Then the breeding shed will tell the story.
-
TCI will still win year end honors for overall a better year. No shame in his performance. He was off a month and didnt have the needed pop to challenge in the stretch.

Heyden said different and he has a vote.

I really believe Karl is the better talent of the two, but do think TCI should get the 2yo colt trotter of the year based on his body of work. Maybe TCI comes back next year as the better horse, but I don't see it happening and barring any setbacks, I expect Karl to be top of class next year.
Of course, you never know what "no shows" at 2 come on at 3, so I guess we'll see.
