I can watch Confederate's Cane pace win over and over. or any of his races for that matter, as i have - LOL! Thrilling! In my 50 years watching these things go round and round, occasionally I come across a pacer who God blessed with the rare ability to actually switch gears in less than a step. The instant Timmy "asked" him to go, you could literally see Confederate's legs hit an almost "mechanical" gear, very, very few horses possess. Looks like his legs speed up like they do in the movies with that "funny"photography. I saw this ability on Matt's Scooter, Life Sign and my all time favorite aged racehorse, the incomparable, Red Bow Tie. They have a switch somewhere inside them and it is a gift.
Having said all this, I truly hope the Diamond Creek connections make the decision to go in the Jug. My gut is they will. The world deserves to see the best pacer alive, in pacing biggest race before its largest crowd.

Confederate WILL be horse of the year. He is by far the best harness horse racing and he is more exciting to watch than ANY thoroughbred this year as well. I hope they do NOT retire him after this year. He could be another Bulldog Hanover if allowed to continue racing next year. He should be invited to the TVG final as well if they want to race him in November.

Yes yes Yes tmbz1 tmbz1 tmbz1

Loves a target more than being on the lead which will help as the year goes on (See the Adios). Only question is if they decide to go to Lexington for a lower mark, does Timmy send him as far and fast as possible? And if he does, how fast can he go?

1:46 flat well within his sights

With a rabbit ( or 2) he will beat that.
Race as a 4 year old ? With a lex mark better than 46.. $30,000 for 100 foals.
Not a chance.
Side thought. If he is quiet, draw him once, split 10 ways, get 7 foals. What numbers they would bring..
-
I think he can eclipse 1:46 too. I just din't want to post that and hear from the naysayers and Indiana freaks on here.

Yes, the horse can accelerate with some of the best I've seen. I also would like to see him at the Jug up close. I'm sure Brian B. would have mixed feelings cause that's where he trained him down.

Hella fast race horse. tmbz1

Confederate has more raw speed than ANY other 3 yr old IMO.
OK since I posted this months ago I'll redboard.

He was a going away winner every time he raced on the front

Always B Miki could switch real fast too, as well as Bulldog Hanover especially in Dayton and Hoosier

Bulldog wasn’t bulldog until he was an older horse.

How do you know? The word form Diamond creek is they are discussing it as the days go on with brett and Timmy. So what do you know different?
-
Hard to turn down a million dollar purse. And think he's good enough to overcome a bad post draw. Only problem they might discuss is the heat format.

He WILL NOT GO TO JUG! He is racing one start in KYSS then KYSS Final. Probably one week Lexington Grand Circuit then off to Indiana for Breeders Crown then - Retire! He will never see a half and never see a 5/8! Decision has already been made. There doing same as Captain T and holding out till last min to announce. It's My Show is not going either.

What is the source of this information? You sound as if you are in the loop somewhere.

He can supplement in. but big buy in $$$

Brett Pelling post Cane Pace interview - "think they're gonna be sending a lot of money out to ohio in a few weeks" somewhat paraphrasing. Just done understand how you guys outside the inner circle seem to know already Confederate isnt going to the jug

Not going

It's not a super big secret. Tetrick knows and so does just about every other top person in harness racing
-
Then you are a top person in harness racing Congrats

The move to Pelling with Confederate from Brian Brown ,ok but moving Seven Colors to Cassies former errand by Harris thats a wtf. This clown is less then reputable and i dont just mean his inexcusable behavior after his wife passed or Yannicks old lady having to rescue his kids.

2nd in the Cane and they change barns? Seems odd. What is this other Harris information? Hadn't heard any of this.

I don't get the barn change either, gas maybe

Seven Colors was sold for a lot of money that the owners couldn't turn down. Brown develops two of the top 3 year olds in the country and has none of them by mid August do to this one being sold and the other Confederate taken by Bowden to give to Pelling. The same owner mind you that made a fortune on Down By The Seaside also trained by Brown. I guess that is horse racing easy come easy go, I am sure owners of Seven Colors were happy to get a huge pile of cash.

The business is so cut throat.. Brian will be ok

TY Wizard I was gonna post something similar this morning This guy Harness2023 says alot of dumb stuf and he WAS TOTALLY WRONG! All the KYSS crap as if he is in the inner circle. I'm about 2.5 hrs from pococno but certainly would haver made the trek for this great card and of course, Confederate, but ironically leaving on vacation this morning in the opposite direction. Thank goodness for electronic media! Enjoy the action
-
He definitely showed that explosive turn of foot just now but maybe almost as impressive is how Stockade Seelster survived that trip and ended up 2nd.
-
very impressive timmy gave him props in the interview
