My view , from up high...is that Jason Portuondo will leave the harness side and move to the Thorobred spot with Jeff Bratt...effective ly replacing Dawn....which he has done before on a fill in basis. He claims to have a "runner" background....exc ersing horses in the AM..AND  has appeared on some of the TV shows that hosted   WDB triple crown races

Thus..there is an opening on the harness side..........to work with Chad Rozema.  Chad  has alo filled in as back up announcer..which protects his job

Mark is a good idea....and he has come a long way....but...know ing his skills and what he has done for WDB.....he would be a logical choice....why did they bother posting the job ?

But I have not heard any rumors of who is leaving...Jason or Chad............. ..........??

They could  have left Standardbred team in tact.........and replace Dawn with Renee Kierans.........w ho burned some bridges when she was let go when they dumped a bunch of good people  5 years ago. Renee knew how to talk with trainers, and jockeys..and always had good questions to ask.

Or , another good hire would be Elissa Blowe , who had a similar job at Ft Erie...and often filled in at WDB.  She too was knowledgeable and a pretty good handicapper. She  , like Renee have moved on to other situations.
