Title: HARNESS RACING HAS FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING IT DOES WELL

 AND THAT IS CELEBRATE THE DEATH OF SOMETHING.

WITH A SPORT THAT IS OVERLY POPULATED WITH OCTO AND NONAGENERIANS AND AT LEAST 1 TOO MANY CURMUDGEONS, ALL THIS SPORT HAS TO LOOK FORWARD TO, IS ITS DEATH.

WITH BACK IN THE DAY, BEING THE MOST COMMON WORDS IN ITS VOCABULARY, THERE ISNT A FORWARD THINKING PERSON IN THE WHOLE INDUSTRY

AND THE HORSEMEN HAVE NO ONES TO BLAME FOR IT BUT THEMSELVES.  THE LYING, CHEATING AND STEALING HAS FINALLY CAUGHT UP WITH HARNY RACING AND ITS IS ABOOT TIME AND A GOOD THING

 HOPEFULLY THEY WILL HAVE A LOT OF FUNERALS TO ATTEND IN THE UPCOMING YEARS

Neither of them give a shit about racing -it's all about their casinos.
Why do you think they named them "Downs"?

There's cheating in everything, that's human nature.  Harness racing is no different.  I'm not sure about the old folks comment, seems to be an abundance of good young drivers coming up every year in the sport lately and i've seen plenty of young people betting on the horses.

frank you are right about flam and georgian and many others on both sides of the border
but the industry needs places to race young horses and b class horses
as for the casinos... i say fuck em, they were all to happy to get in bed with harness racing when it allowed them to open casinos so live with it, that was their cost of entry
