ponda jet the best 3yr trotter in the country not entered in breeders crown at his home track but in some crappy overnight

Race Secretary ngc3
You gotta pay to play dude. Blame the owners

Was beaten pretty frequently in recent starts vs Indy breds [ which admittedly aren't bad] but Grand Circuit + BC a different ballgame. Would have been nice to see him take a crack at em but definitely not worth the exorbitant supplement price.

I don't think you're allowed to supplement into the 2-year old BC races (3 year old races yes).

Could be right. If so I stand corrected. If that is the case, would like to hear the reasoning behind the difference.

Ha, Bitter you are right! I was thinking the conversation was about Ponda Title the 2-year-old that just won the Indiana Sire final last Thursday!

Just for shits and giggles---what happens if the race secretary puts the horse in the Breeders Crown instead of the overnight? Rumor has it that there is a declaration fee that goes with entering the Breeders Crown too! Does ownership have to pay the starting fee once nominated for the race? If the ownership scratches the horse, the trainer can get fined for not honoring the declaration regardless of who did it!

Ponda won too many races with too many stupid fast fractions early and often in the heat and humidity of summer! He could have won the same races with a level headed driver instead of Mr.Heylookatme! Once the goose is cooked, you can't expect him to swim! Horrible management of a very nice colt!

I agree with you 100% and the same thing is going to happen to Ponda Title with this ass clown wilfong going down the road every week. Only knows how to point and go. How in the hell could they possibly use wilfong on breeders crown when other wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better drivers are available? Let me see do I choose dexter, Timmy, yannick, zeron, Dave Miller or wilfong? Yeah that’s it, I’ll use wilfong. ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

I feel that every horse that is scratched R.O.E.(race office error)should initiate a fine for the Race Secretary! If a trainer causes a no real reason scratch, they get hit with a Failure to Honor Declaration fine! A couple of tracks have a few of R.O.E's a month! They could call it Conducting a Draw in a Careless Manor! 11.wp tmbz1

gotta put up 72k to supplement, once you enter, that's it, you also owe the starting fee. Takes big balls to pony up that kind of cash
-
Starting fee 5,000. You also don't get to race for your 72K, that's split between all the other horses. Every starter in the final gets 1% of the purse.
