I recently went on two road trips with our trainer, first to the Meadows for a SS. , I think the purse was 40 something. Pulled up to the stable gate and two commission officers instructed us that they would be searching our truck n trailer. While in the barn area I asked a local trainer about searching. They said it happens all the time.
Onto Batavia racetrack for a SS , purse 100,00 or something, we weren’t in that but the stallion series but both on the same card. No searching by commission officers.
While in the paddock I was talking with a local trainer and told them about my experience in PA and asked if that’s occurs here , they said never.
I find the different protocols perplexing from one state to the next.

New York is lax in both security. Some tracks more so than others.
When was the last time you saw a positive from N Y ? Most law abiding / clean trainers in the country.
Is their “state of the art” testing center even open ? It costs the owners $30.78 for testing each time they race.

once again proof that this regional aspect is a joke
need a national leadership group and all regions have a seat and come up with same rules for all

The guards at the Meadows also walk the barn area during the day and night. They have them boxes that they put a key of some sort in to verify that the area was attended to.

yup. We're worse than boxing

Hah. Youd think with todays technology on location the key turning detex boxes would be long gone.
Hochul and ny st racing wagering boar a complete disgrace.

The sad part is that The Meadows is the only track in PA that the commission does that. Can you imagine what they would find at Chester with Mosher, Eckly, Allard etc

all tracks should be the same
