Title: Interesting Condition at Cal Expo

It looks like there are three open trotters at CAL EXPO and cannot get the race to fill.
so
they had a mix gate race...

Trotters drew 1-3 and the pacers drew 4-6 --- the pacers were bottom level condition pacers were racing for $3k and tonight ran for $5k

Winner --- a pacer got up at the wire.

Post by: JL52 on March 21, 2022, 10:05:04 AM: Green Mountain used to do that all the time. But on a 13/16 mile like that, and on a miler like CalExpo, this really doesn’t put the pacers at much of a disadvantage. On a half mile track, it would be more significant.

Later that year, scored in about 2:01 at Saratoga. Clearly, this 43 second drop in lifetime record in one year, is a record that won’t be beat.
